The trouble with old people like myself is that they die out pretty fast when the old dame or gentleman gives up the ghost - and there goes the advocacy and activism, right? We have got to learn to pass on the torch. .Too many good beginnings have rested on the shoulders of some one old lady, and have died when she did - like the absolutely splendid site of the Amherst Gray Panthers, which died when its leader got sick. and has left only its ghost behind on the web. - which is fine - but the Panthers part of it died when Dixie could no longer keep it up.

But, hey, we have take up where she left off, not just celebrate her work and her spirit! She would have hated that!
